There was another Nancy Clark (age 50) living in the house next to her along with two children: Atkins (age 23) and Melissa (age 14, shown as "deaf dumb and idiotic"). It is not known where this Nancy fits into the family (or even if she does).

My [Sheryl McNeely] date came from the family bible of A.J. and Nancy Clark that was read to me over the phone by my cousin, Debbie Meyers Bell. I need to have Debbie check this again. Records on the ancestors of Andrew Jackson Clark were furnished via GEDCOM from Linda Allred Cooper in February of 1999. 1850 census - upper region of Chatham County NC listed as 'Jackson'; 1860 census - Salt Springs, Randolph County MO listed as 'A.J.'; 1870 census - ;1880 census - Clifton Township, Randolph County, MO listed as 'Andrew J.'; 1900 census - Greenwood, Wise County TX living with Meritt and Annie Clifton - listed as 'Jeneral'. He died at age 78 almost 79 years old - probably in Wise Co. TX - since he died June 5, 1900 and was on the Wise County TX 1900 census completed in June of 1900.
