Edwin Theodore Sorrells was born on October 30, 1854 at Mansfield, Sebastian County, AR. He was the son of George Washington Sorrells and Charlotte Abijah Smedley. Edwin Theodore Sorrells married Rachael Bloodworth on March 9, 1879. Edwin Theodore Sorrells died on May 4, 1922 at Wilburton, Latimer County, OK, at age 67.      He was schooled in Arkansas in general studies and law, and then moved to Indian territory in 1844. At the time of Oklahoma statehood, he was elected Senator from the Leflore-Eatimer District and was re-elected to each legislature since the first, so that it was his usual privilege to vote yes or no on every law now (1914) on the statutes of State of Oklahoma. Edwin T. Sorrells, son of George Washington Sorrells, after the civil war, in which his father, a confederate soldier, secured his school and law education in Arkansas before moving to Indian Territory in 1844, while he was still very young. It was a matter of strict pioneering for the Sorrells family. Edwin was the first to make a clearing, and with tree boughs formed a shelter where the first Sunday school and church were ever conducted in that part of the Territory. Later, he aided in building the first Church and school house ever built in that section for white people. He formed the first Democratic Club in the Indian Territory, and in 1884 he organized the first Farmers Union. He was an early member of the A.H.T.A., twice holding the office of president. In 1914, many of the citizens of Eastern Oklahoma met at the court house at Wilburton, and passed resolutions endorsing the candidacy of Senator Sorrells for the office of Lieutenant Governor of Oklahoma, he was nominated, but was defeated in the primaries. James Washington Sorrells was born on September 15, 1883 at Mansfield, Sebastian County, AR.      He practiced law in Oklahoma City, and was appointed deputy oil and gas commissioner of Oklahoma. He later lived in Breckenridge, Texas. He was the son of Edwin Theodore Sorrells and Rachael Bloodworth.

Albert Parks Fuller-Hoyt was born on May 31, 1867 at Santa Cruz, Santa Cruz County, CA. He was the son of Marcellus Parks Fuller and Emma Estelle Marshal. Albert Parks Fuller-Hoyt married Laura Cindrilla Sorrells, daughter of Victor Moreau Sorrells and Rosanna Bennett, on July 8, 1899 at Tulare County, CA. Albert Parks Fuller-Hoyt died in February, 1921 at Jamestown, Tuolumne County, CA, at age 53.      He was always a newspaperman. He founded the 'Mother Lode Weekly' at Sonora in California and the 'Tuolumne Prospector', at Groveland. He served several terms of Justice of the Peace at Groveland. He owned the Mother Lode Magnet at Jamestown. He was a member of the Knights of Pythias, Harvard Lodge, #135. He and all his siblings were reared in the Episcopal faith.

Mignon Alberta Hoyt was born on February 13, 1890 at San Jose, Santa Clara County, CA. She was the daughter of Albert Parks Fuller-Hoyt and Laura Cindrilla Sorrells. Mignon Alberta Hoyt married Walter Woods Young on February 13, 1911 at San Francisco, San Francisco County, CA. Mignon Alberta Hoyt died on May 29, 1927 at Los Altos, Santa Clara County, CA, at age 37.      Mignon was sick most of her life. Her son was 15 when she died. His legal guardian became Marvin Sorrells. Marvin took Lowell Young in as a partner in his painting company. Marvin died shortly after that of a heart attack. The name of the painting company was M. M. Sorrells Painting.
