Some of the following census records have been annotated to include additional information about the people. Also included in the list are the mortality schedules and slave schedules. Census information from adjoining counties (if available) is listed here too since Pike County families often moved into or out of these counties. Several of the files are from the work of David Kelley and are part of the information available on the Pike County AR Gen Web site.
Because some browsers cannot view large pages of information the following census files are presented in two forms. The Index file allows you to select a small set of census pages based on the name of a person. The Complete file allows you to view the entire census transcription in one file. The Index file and related census pages are relatively small and load faster than does the Complete file. The Complete file on the other hand allows you to scroll or search through the complete census.
Currently only the 1860, 1870 and 1880 files have been so indexed.
