Clark County was created by an act of the Missouri Territorial Legislature
approved December 15, 1818 and effective March 1, 1919. The 1820 census was
enumerated by Tandy Glaze at $6.00 per hundred. He was paid $64.40 for the
enumeration of Clark County and $4.00 for preparing 2 copies of the census.
