Joy Jean Bryant married James Craig "Bud" "Bub" Hanna, son of Paul William Hanna and Myrtle Jessie Horton, on July 14, 1955 at Ben Franklin, Delta County, TX. Joy Jean Bryant died on January 16, 1995 at age 62. The following obituary was published in The Paris News, page 10A, Paris, Lamar County, TX, on January 17, 1995:      'Joy Jean Bryant Hanna, 62, 2915 Hubbard, died Monday, Jan. 16, 1995, at the home of her sister in Paris. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18, at Bright-Holland Funeral Home with Dean Kilmer, the Rev. Ray Starnes and Dr. Larry Walker officiating. Burial will be in Oaklawn Cemetery at Cooper. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and will be at the home of Reba Echols, 315 Johnson Woods Dr. Mrs. Hanna was born in the Paradise community south of Roxton on Aug. 29, 1932, a daughter of Blake K. and Ethel Patrick Bryant. She married James C. Hanna July 14, 1955 in Ben Franklin. He died May 4, 1969. She graduated from Roxton High School in 1949 and from LVN School in 1973. She had worked for Dr. Larry Walker for the past 17 years. She was a member of the Lamar Avenue Church of Christ. Surviving are one son, Paul William Hanna II of Rowlett; one daughter, Beth Ann Hanna Hankins of Pickton; four grandchildren, Shannon Monk, Ryan Paul Hanna, Kaitlyn Leann Hankins and Korey Lynn Hankins; one sister, Reba Echols of Paris; and one brother, Pat Bryant of Roxton. Pallbearers will be Gary Brackeen, Ray Bryant Echols, James Edward Echols, Mel Belcher, Carl Choate and Jack Echols. Memorials may be made to the Ella C. McFadden Hospice at St. Joseph's Hospital & Health Center.' She was buried on January 18, 1995 at Oaklawn Cemetery, Cooper, Delta County, TX.
