Rufus Haywood Henderson died on October 26, 1876 at Morgan County, AL, at age 32.      "Rufus was a young man of thirty-two when he died. He was a very strong man. He and another man were stacking lumber one day and somehow the stack started to fall and Rufus held it while the other man braced it. While he was holding up the lumber, one of the ribs broke and pierced his lung. He died later of Tuberculosis caused from the accident."
