Barry Wilbur League was born on August 12, 1914. He was the son of James Britt League and Sarah Gabriella Busbee. Barry Wilbur League married Evelyn Herron Blackburn. Barry Wilbur League married Virginia Keels. Barry Wilbur League died on November 22, 1973 at age 59.      Barry graduated from The Citadel in June 1936. He was employed by a large national company as a management trainee. In 1939 The War Department ordered him to active duty as a Lieutenant and assigned him to the Armored Corps, Fort Knox, Kentucky. After extensive training, including maneuvers in Louisiana, Alabama and South Carolina, his Division was considered combat ready. His Division was the first U.S. Armored Division to be sent to Europe in early 1942. Under the Command of General George S. Patton they were assigned to North Africa to fight against the German Afrika Korps under the Command of General Rommel. He remained in North Africa after the defeat of the German forces until reassigned to England in late 1943. After the invasion of Normandy, he was assigned to duty as an airborne Liason Officer with the Armored Corps, always in the combat areas, until Germany surrendered in June 1945 at the conclusion of World War II in Europe . He returned to the United States with the Rank of Major. He wa s released from active duty in 1946 and spent the rest of his life as a civilian in the business world.

James Britt League was born on May 11, 1911. He was the son of James Britt League and Sarah Gabriella Busbee. James Britt League married Molly Whiting Masters on October 26, 1934 at Hampton, VA. James Britt League died on May 11, 1968 at age 57. He was buried at Parklawn Memorial Cemetery, Hampton, VA.      Britt graduated from The Citadel in 1932. He applied and was immediately accepted for Pilot training at Randolph and Kelly Army Air Fields, San Antonio, Texas. He was awarded Pilot Wings and commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant, Army Air Corps in June 1933. After graduating he was assigned to the 35th Pursuit Group, Langley Field, Virginia. In 1940, he was transferred to Puerto Rico where he commanded a Fighter Unit. As the war in Europe intensified, his unit flew anti-submarine patrols. During 1942, he developed phlebitis in one leg and was medically evacuated to Walter Reed Army Hospital in Washington, D. C. After several months of tests and treatment and with the rank of Colonel, he was assigned to limited duty in the Pentagon. In 1944, he became Commander of a P-51 Fighter Group in Thomasville, Georgia where he remained until the end of World War II. Another assignment ensued to the Pentagon, where he was medically retired in 1947 with th e permanent Rank of Colonel. USAF.

Molly Whiting Masters was born on April 25, 1914. She married James Britt League, son of James Britt League and Sarah Gabriella Busbee, on October 26, 1934 at Hampton, VA.

Wade Hampton League was born on August 1, 1883. He was the son of George Mathew Anderson 'Bud' League and Hattie Keziah Hawkins. Wade Hampton League was educated; High School. He married Pawnee Watson on June 21, 1908. Wade Hampton League died on August 30, 1958 at age 75. He was buried on September 1, 1958 at Reedy River Baptist Church Cemetery, Greenville County, SC.
