Will Book A page 54. Last Will and Testament of William Kelley of Pike
County, Arkansas. Dated January 5th 1869. "I give, devise and bequeath to my
beloved daughter Margaret Doss all my real estate lying and being situate in
the County of Pike, State of Arkansas, and described as following, to wit:
the South West quarter of the South East quarter of Section Nineteen in
Township Eight, South of Range Twenty-three West, containing thirty-nine
(39) acres (by reason of one acre being given and donated to the Christian
Church, it leaves this Quarter or forty acres one acre less), and the South
East quarter of the North West quarter of Section Thirty in Township Eight,
South of Range Twenty-three West containing forty acres & the North East
quarter of the North West quarter of section Thirty in Township Eight, South
of Range twenty-three West containing forty acres and the land in Range
Twenty-three West, Township Eight South, Section Thirty, the West half of
the North East quarter of section Thirty, containing eighty acres, making in
all one hundred and ninety-nine acres (199) acres, more or less, to have and
to hold the same to her,for and during her natural life and after her
decease to her bodily heirs, respectively, share and share alike. I give and
bequeath to my beloved children, (Elijah) W. Kelley, Samuel Kelley, William
J. Kelley, Elizabeth Kirkham, Margaret Doss, Nancy Dossey heirs and Robert
M. Kelley's heirs, the sum of one dollar each to be paid to each of them out
of my personal goods and chattels as soon after my decease as conveniently
may be done and then the balance or residue of my personal property and
chattels, respectively, share and share alike. Lastly, I do nominate and
appoint my son William J. Kelley and Willis H. Doss (son-in-law) to be the
executors of this my last Will and Testament. Witnesses, A.J. Crawford (and)
J.H. Wingfield of Pike County, Arkansas. March 12th 1869. Before Jas. H.
Howard Clerk &c., came A.J. Crawford and J.H. Wingfield who being duly sworn
depose and say, we live in Pike County, Arkansas that we were called upon
by William Kelley to sign an instrument of writing which he declared to be
his last Will and Testament that he signed the (same in the) presence of
each of us, that we signed the same at the request of the said (William)
Kelley and in his presence, and in the presence of each other, that he was
of sound and disposing mind and memory at that time and that his residence
was in Pike County, Arkansas. Recorded July 30, 1869. Signed by Jas. H.
