Pike County, Arkansas and recorded in Abstract of Title Book Prior to 1890

Will Book 1 page 167. Last Will and Testament of David Halcombe of Pike      
County, Arkansas. Dated July 11, 1861. (Recorded) December 5, 1862. He       
bequeaths certain personal property to his son Thadius Walker Halcombe and   
to his daughter Nancy Elizabeh Halcombe. "I will and bequeath unto my        
beloved wife Nancy Halcombe all of the real estate belonging to me together  
with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining,  
together with all my personal property and freehold estate whatever, which   
is to be my wife's legacy absolutely during her natural life after all my    
just debts are paid, and at her death all of said real estate, personal      
property and freehold estate, as above mentioned, shall be equally divided   
among all her heirs, namely, the children of Eady Lafevers (the inheritance  
of said Eady as an heir) the first wife of Isaac Lafevers; Sarah Burleson;   
Luisa Kissiah Ingle, David H. Halcombe's heirs (the inheritance of the said  
David H.); Caleb Halcombe; Pheby Halmark; John K. Halcombe; Wise N.          
Halcombe; together with the above mentioned Nancy Elizabeth and Thadius      
Walker Halcombe. I hereby appoint my beloved wife Nancy Halcombe sole        
executrix of this my last Will and Testament." Attesting witnesses, Michael  
Carroll, Ranson Cornish of Pike County, Arkansas. December 5th 1862. Before  
James H. Howard clerk, came Ranson Cornish and Michael Carroll, who being    
first duly sworn, depose and say that David Halcombe signed said Will in our 
presence, we signed the same in his presence and at his request, that he     
declared in our presence that said instrument ws his last Will &c. and that  
he was of sound mind and memory at the time of making said Will. James H.
