County of Pike,
Know All Men By These Presents:
That I, John Dickson, knowing the uncertainty of life and the certainty of
death, and being in my proper mind and desiring to make a distribution of my
property among my children before my death, do make and decree that the
following shall be my Last Will and Testament.
1st. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Lydia Caroline Vickery, and to the
heirs of her body, the following described tracts of land, to wit: The
Southwest Qr. of the Northwest Qr. of Section Fourteen in Township eight,
South of Range twenty-six, West, in the District of Lands subject to sale at
Washington, Arkansas, containing forty acres; also the Southeast Qr. of the
Northeast Qr. and the Northeast Qr. of the Southeast Qr. of Section
Fourteen, Township eight, South of Range twenty-six, West, containing
Seventy-nine and 79/100 of acres; also the Northwest Quarter of the
Southwest Qr., all in Section Fourteen, Township eight, South of Range
twenty-six, West, containing in all one hundred and twenty-eight and 51/100
acres.
2nd. I give unto Elijah Kelley the following described tract of land, to
wit: The Southeast Qr. of the Southeast Qr. of Section Fourteen, Township
eight, South of Range twenty-six, West, containing forty acres.
This my will, that the above described Lydia Caroline Vickery and Elijah
Kelley shall have the above described tracts of land with all the
improvements thereon, with all the rights and privileges that are vested in
me, and they and their heirs shall have and hold the same forever.
3rd. This my will, that the balance of my property shall be equally divided
among my six children, namely: Priscilla Kelley, Clement Dickson, Sion
Bradley Dickson, Lydia Caroline Vickery, Beverly R. Dickson and Larissa W.
Fenter.

To All To Whom These Presents Shall Come, Greeting:
Know ye, That the last Will and Testament of John Dickson, deceased, of Pike
County, hath, in due form of law, been exhibited, proved and recorded in the
office of the Clerk of the Court of Probate in the County of Pike, a copy of
which is hereunto annexed:
And to the end that the property of the testator may be preserved for those
who shall appear to have a legal right or interest therein, and that the
said last Will may be executed according to the request of the testator.
We do hereby appoint & authorize John M. Davis as Administrator, with the
Will annexed of said deceased, to collect and secure all and singular the
goods, chattels, rights, and credits, which were of the said John Dickson at
the time of his death, in whosoever hands or possession the same may be
found and to perform and fulfill all such as may be enjoined upon him by
said Will, so far as there shall be property, and the law charge him; in
general, to do and perform all other acts which now are or hereafter may be
required of him by law.
In testimony whereof, I, Jas. H. Howard, Clerk of the Circuit Court, and
Exofficio Clerk of the Court of Probate in and for the said County of Pike,
have hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said Court at office, in
said County, this 14th day of December, A.D. 1867.

of Pike and State, aforesaid, do hereby certify that the annexed and
foregoing instrument of writing was filed for record on the ____ day of
________ A.D. 187_ at ___ o'clock _.M. and the same, together with
certificate of acknowledgement thereto, is now duly recorded in Record
Book B, pages 94 & 95.
In testimony whereof, I hereunto set my hand and affixed the seal of said
Court, at my office in Murfreesboro, this 10th day of Nov. A.D. 1876.
