Know All Men By These Presents:
That, I, Silas McDaniel of the County of Clark, Missouri Territory have
bargained and sold and delivered unto Morgan Cryer Sen. of said Territory,
a Negro girl named Silva for the sum of Five Hundred and fifty dollars to me
in hand paid before the sealing and delivering of these presents. I do bind
myself, my heirs, executors and administrators firmly by these presents,
ever to warrant and defend the aforesaid Negro as the property of the said
Morgan Cryer, his heirs and assigns, against all persons whatsoever.
Given under my hand this tenth day of March, Eighteen hundred and Nineteen
(1819).
