Bacon of Pike County, Arkansas appoints &c., William T. Bacon "his true,     

sufficient and lawful attorney" &c., "for the purpose of collecting all      

notes and accounts due me and to collect my distributive share of the        

Estate of John Brewer deceased coming to me by my wife Sarah Ann Bacon       

late Sarah Ann Brewer" &c. Etc., full power (given) "ratifying and           

confirming all his acts in the premises". Acknowledged March 1, 1853 before  

M.A. McRae, J.P., Pike County, Arkansas. Recorded March 2, 1853.
