County of Hempstead,
I, Lewis Allen, and acting and duly commissioned Justice of the Peace in and
for the County of Hempstead in the State of Arkansas, do hereby certify and
make known, that on Sunday evening the 17th day of September A.D. 1848, I
solemnized the rights (rites) of Matrimony between Mr. Austin Simpson of
Pike County, aged about twenty-five years to Miss Harriett F. Calhoun of
Hempstead County aged about nineteen years, in the County of Hempstead in
the State of Arkansas. Given under my hand this 19th day of September A.D.
1848.
