I am researching the Smedley's from McNairy County, Tennessee. William
Robert Smedley was born March 20, 1825 in Madison County, Tennessee. He
married Minervia ?, March 24, 1849 I think in Madison County. She was born
April 2, 1834 in Madison County, I think. I have been unable to find his
parents or brothers and sisters. I also have been unable to find her maiden
name and parents. I think that it may be Epperson. They moved from
Tennessee in 1859 to Pike County, Arkansas. My grandfather, Samuel Lewis
was 1 of 9 children. He married Louella Missouri Hutson.
William John-b. 12/28/1850, McNairy County, Tn.--Martha Ann-b. 2/11/1853,
in McNairy County, Tn.--Mary Francis-b. 2/24/1855 in McNairy County,
Tn.--Martin Calvin-b. 8/31/1857, in McNairy County, Tn. All others were
born in Murfreesboro, Arkansas, Pike County--Robert Franklin-b.
10/28/1860--Margaret Elizabeth-b. 7/26/1863--James Henry-4/15/1866--David
Riley-b. 6/29/1870--Samuel Lewis-b. April 25, 1873.
I am searching surnames such as, Hutson, Bumgarner, Kizzia, Branch,
Stevens, Stockton, Cooley, Fagan and many others.
