Pike County, Arkansas and recorded in Abstract of Title Book Prior to 1890

Probate Book B page 108. October Term 1862. Came Charles Strawn by (his)
attorney and made application to the Court to obtain Letters of
Administration with the Will annexed on the Estate of Hiram Strawn deceased;
and also came William J. Kelley and urged an application before the Court to
be appointed as such administrator. The Court appoints said William J.
Kelley administrator with the Will annexed upon said estate by his entering
into a sufficient bond &c. Etc. Administrator presents his bond of $18000
which bond is approved by the Court. Probate Book B page 133. In Vacation.
November 27, 1862. Administrator petitions and prays for an order to sell
the personal estate of decedent, facts verified by affidavit. The prayer of
the petitioner is by the Court granted. Probate Book C page 75. October Term
1872. Came Thomas J. Strawn and suggested to the Court the death of William
J. Kelley administrator of said estate, and moves the Court that he be
appointed administrator of said estate being one of the heirs. The Court
orders that said Thomas J. Strawn be appointed administrator de bonis non
upon his filing a bond herein.
