Probate Book 1 page 309. In Vacation. May 20th 1859. Silas Hutson petitions,
states, and represents that he did on the 18th day of May 1859 take letters
of administration on the estate of Isaac Hutson who lately departed this
life in Pike County, Arkansas intestate and that all the immediate heirs are
of age. That there is personal estate &c., Etc., and he prays for an order
to sell said personal estate, facts verified by affidavit. The prayer of the
petitioner is by the Court granted. Probate Book 1 page 325. July Term 1859.
Administrator presents bond for $2000 and the same is by the Court approved.
Probate Book 1 page 351. July Term 1859. Now comes into Court Andrew Hutson
by his attorney and presented his petition stating and representing that on
May 2nd 1859 Isaac Hutson Senior then living, now deceased, made and
executed an instrument of writing intending to convey to him, the said
petitioner, a certain tract or parcel of land in Pike County, Arkansas &c.;
that said tract of land was imperfectly described; that the land meant to be
conveyed &c., is "Beginning at the Section Corner of Section 35 & 36 in
Township 8 and Sections 1 & 2 in Township 8; thence running North 1/4 mile
along the section line between Section 35 & 36; thence West till the line
strikes and intersects the branch running South; thence down said branch to
where the same crosses the line between the Northeast 1/4 and the Southeast
1/4 (of the) Northeast fractional 1/4 (of) Section 2; thence East to the
section line between Sections 1 & 2; thence North on the section line 1/4
mile to the point of the beginning; comprising part of the Southeast 1/4 (of
the) Southeast 1/4 (of) Section 35, Township 8 and a part of the Northeast
1/4 (of the) Northeast quarter fraction (of) Section 2, Township 9, all in
Range 26 West." The said facts verified by affidavit of John A. (Hutson) and
Joab Hutson. The consideration was the good will &c., which his father had
for him. Petitioner prays that the Administrator may be empowered and
authorized to make (a) deed to him of decedent's interest &c. in said land.
The Court grants the petitioner's prayer.
