Pike County, Arkansas and recorded in Abstract of Title Book Prior to 1890

Probate Book 1 page 198. September 29th 1858. In Vacation. Jefferson Collier 
states and represents that he has this day taken letters of administration   
on the estate of Nathan Collier who lately departed this life in Pike        
County, Arkansas intestate; that all the immediate heirs of the deceased are 
of age and that the personal property of said estate is liable to be lost    
&c. He therefore prays for an order to sell said personal property at        
public sale October 22, 1858. The prayer of the petitioner is granted.       
Probate Book 1 page 213. October Term 1858. Administrator's bond for $1000   
presented and approved. Probate Book 1 page 407. October Term 1859.          
Administrator files his settlement with said Estate and presented his        
resignation as such administrator. Wm. Gilmer sheriff (of) Pike County,      
Arkansas is by the Court appointed public administrator de bonis non of said 
estate and that he take charge of the same. Probate Book 1 page 420. Bond    
for $1000 filed and approved. Probate Book 1 page 445. January Term 1860.    
William Gilmer as Public administrator of the estate of Nathan Collier       
deceased in the matter of the sale of real estate. Came said administrator   
de bonis non by his attorney and filed his petition verified by his          
affidavit stating and representing to the Court that the claims allowed      
against said Estate exceed the Assets now in his hands &c., and he therefore 
prays for an order to sell the real estate of the decedent, to wit:          
Southwest 1/4 (of the) Northeast 1/4 and Southeast 1/4 (of the) Northeast    
1/4 (of) Section 30, Township 7, Range 25, less the widow's dower or 1/3,    
which dower has been assigned her. The prayer of the petitioner is by Court  
granted and said Administrator is ordered &c., to sell the 53 (&) 1/3 acres  
of said land at public sale at the Court House door &c., on April 23, 1860   
and to report (the) proceedings therein at (the) next term of this Court.    
Probate Book 1 page 446. January Term 1860. William W. Box in right of his   
wife Elizabeth Box late Elizabeth Collier widow of Nathan Collier deceased   
vs. Wm. Gilmer public administrator (of the) Estate of Nathan Collier        
deceased and John Hinson in right of his wife Sarah Ann Hinson born Collier. 
Came the said Complainant by his attorney and petitions, supported by his    
affidavit, stating and representing that: on or about January 22, 1858       
Nathan Collier died &c., leaving as his heir(s) Sarah Ann Hinson the wife of 
John Hinson, and John Collier who has since departed this life without       
issue, and the wife of this petitioner as his widow; that said Nathan        
Collier died seized and possessed of the following described real estate in  
Pike County, Arkansas to wit: (the) Southwest 1/4 (of the) Northeast 1/4 and 
Southeast 1/4 (of the) Northeast 1/4 (of) Section 30, Township 7, Range 25   
&c. Praying that dower in said premises may be secured to his said wife &c.  
Said administrator and John Hinson appear but do not answer. Prayer of the   
petitioner granted by the Court and Henry Brewer, Enos W. Scarborough and    
Wm. B. Gould are appointed as Commissioners to lay off said dower of 1/3     
interest in said lands. Probate Book 1 page 487. April Term 1860.            
Commissioners appointed to assign dower report. They have assigned and laid  
off to Elizabeth Box late Elizabeth Collier the following described part of  
the South 1/2 (of the) Northeast 1/4 (of) Section 30, Township 7, Range 25   
(West): Commencing at a planted stone in the said Elizabeth Box's field 80   
chains 4 links North of the Southeast corner of section; thence West 26      
chains 17 2/3 links to a stake B.T. Iron (&) Wood 36 links North 55 degrees  
East; thence North 40 chains 4 links to a stake B.T. (a) Red Elm 48 chains   
South 48 degrees East; thence East 26 chains 15 links to a planted stone in  
said field; thence South 40 chains 4 links to the beginning corner stone     
containing (26.17) acres, the section being short &c. The said report is     
confirmed by the Court. Date(d) April 6, 1860. Probate Book 1 page 499.      
Administrator asks and is granted to July 16, 1860 to sell said real estate. 
Probate Book 1 page 459. January Term 1860. (William Gilmer) files final     
settlement, the same is confirmed in all things and said administrator is    
forever discharged.
