Pike County, Arkansas and recorded in Abstract of Title Book Prior to 1890

Probate Book 1 page 193. July Term 1858. It having been represented to the   
Court that Thomas Jenkins late of Pike County, (Arkansas) died intestate     
leaving an estate of considerable value &c., etc. Whereupon it is ordered by 
the Court that the sheriff of Pike County (William Gilmer) in his capacity   
of public administrator take letters of administration on said estate &c.    
Probate Book 1 page 212. October Term 1858. Administrator's bond for $2800   
presented and approved. Probate Book 1 page 227. October Term 1858.          
Administrator prays for and is granted permission to sell personal property. 
Probate Book B page 315. January Term 1867. Wm. Gilmer as administrator of   
the estate of Thos. Jenkins deceased petition(s) for sale of real estate.    
This day came by attorney said (William) Gilmer administrator of (the)       
Estate of (Thomas Jenkins) deceased and presented his petition stating and   
representing &c., in order that he may pay debts of Estate unpro(v)ded for,  
prays for an order to sell the real estate belonging to the estate of        
deceased, to wit: Lot 5 of (the) Southwest 1/4 (of) Section 18, Township 7   
and Lot 1 of the Northwest fractional 1/4 (of) Section 19, Township 7, Range 
25 (West) and the Northwest 1/4 (of the Northwest 1/4 (of) Section 34,       
Township 6, Range 26 West, containing in all 119.63 acres at (the) Court     
House door &c., after giving 20 days notice, facts verified by affidavit.    
The Court grants the petitioner's prayer; and it is ordered that he sell the 
improvements on public lands belonging to said estate. Probate Book B page   
339. April Term 1867. Administrator reports the sale of the lands in Section 
(18 & 19) to Phoeba Williams for $260. The Northwest 1/4 (of the) Northwest  
1/4 (of) Section 34, (Township) 6, (Range) 26 failed to bring 2/3 of its     
appraised value and was not sold. The Court orders that said Administrator   
sell this said tract in 12 months from February 21, 1867 according to        
statutes in such cases made and provided. Probate Book C page 13. January    
Term 1871. It is considered and ordered by the Court that the said William   
Gilmer be discharged from any further care about such administration.
