Probate Book 1 page 80. Wm. C. Haile, Administrator (of the) Estate (of)     
James Parker deceased: In the matter of the sale of Real Estate. April Term  
1856. Comes now said Administrator by his attorney and presents his petition 
in writing verified by affidavit stating that the assets in his hands        
amounted to $225.80 and that the claims allowed against said estate amounted 
to $946.77 and representing that said dec'd died seized and possessed of     
certain real estate in Pike County; that it would be necessary to sell that  
he might pay the indebtedness of said estate and praying the Court to grant  
an order for the sale of the Southwest quarter (of the) Southwest quarter    
(of) Section 6, Township 8, Range 27. Court orders that said administrator   
sell said real estate at Court House door in Pike County on Monday July 21st 
next (1856) on twelve months time, the purchaser to give good and sufficient 
security for the purchase money at 10% per annum. Administrator to Execute   
(to) purchaser all the necessary deeds &c. Should said lands fail to sell on 
said day for 2/3 of its appraised value, administrator ordered to sell the   
same twelve months from that time to the highest bidder. Probate Book 1 page 
132. April Term 1857. Administrator reports sale of real estate to Nathan    
Levi January 25, (1857) for $50. The same is ordered filed and entered of    
record. Probate Book 1 page 308. April Term 185(9). Administrator makes      
final settlement; his report is in all things confirmed and he (is)          
discharged without day.
