Mrs. E.J. Wood, 77, of the Shawmut community passed away at that place on
June 25, (1941) following an illness caused by a stoke of paralysis.
She is survived by two sons, C.E. Wood of Wagoner, Oklahoma and A.W. Wood of
Monroe, La.; one step-son W.B. Wood of Antoine; two daughters, Mrs. Bertie
Avery of Shawmut and Mrs. Effie Lee of Huttig and one brother J.B. Calley
of Graysonia, who is the last living of a family of ten children.
Funeral services and burial was in the Wood cemetery near Shawmut.
