Abijah Davis to John F. Davis

                       Know All Men By These Presents:                       
                                                                             
That I, Abijah Davis, of the county of Pike in the State of Arkansas, for    
and in consideration of the natural love that I have for my son, John F.     
Davis, and for the further consideration of the sum of $1.00 to me in hand   
paid by the said John F. Davis, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged,  
do hereby grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said John F. Davis, the   
following described land lying and being situated in the County of Pike,     
to-wit: the South 1/2 of the West 1/2 of (the) NW 1/4 Section 19, Township   
8, Range 25W, the South 1/2 of East part of (the) NE 1/4 of Section 24,      
Township 8, South of Range 25, West, containing two hundred and five 60/100  
(205.06) acres together with all the priviliges and appurtenances thereunto. 
                                                                             
And, I, the said Abijah Davis do further convey and agree with the said John 
F. Davis that I am lawfully seized in fee of the aforegranted premises, that 
they are free from all incumberances, and that I have a good right to sell   
and convey unto the said John F. Davis the above described lands, as         
aforesaid, and that I will, and my heirs, executors and administrators shall 
warrant and defend unto the said John F. Davis, his heirs and assigns the    
peacable possession of said premises against the lawful claims of all        
persons whomsoever.                                                          
                                                                             
And, I, Lucinda Davis, wife of the said Abijah Davis, for the consideration  
aforesaid and for other good and valuable considerations, do hereby release  
and forever relinquish unto the said John F. Davis, his heirs and assigns,   
all my right, title and interest to dower in or out of the above described   
premises.                                                                    
                                                                             
In testimony whereof, we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals,  
on this the 4th day of June 1873.
