Know All Men By These Presents:
That, whereas we Wesley Kelley, Jno. C. McLaughlin and Polly his wife, Wm.
F. McLaughlin and Emily his wife, Elijah Kelley, Abner H. Kelley and Amanda
Kelley, all of Pike County, State of Arkansas, are seized in fee of a
certain amount of land in common with Milas Bagwell and Margret his wife of
Red River County, State of Texas, Martin G. Miller and Rebecca his wife, and
A.J. Ward and Nancy his wife of Titus County, Texas. All the above parties
having an equal interest in and unto an undivided half of a league and labor
of land surveyed by virtue of the headright certificate of John Humphries
deceased, a portion of said Survey, to wit: twelve hundred and twelve acres
"1212" lying and situated in the County of Cass and the balance in the
County of Titus. Now, know ye, that we Wesley Kelley, Jno. C. McLaughlin and
Polly his wife, Wm. F. McLaughlin and Emily his wife, Elijah Kelley, Abner
H. Kelley and Amanda Kelley have made, constituted and appointed, and by
these presents do make, constitute and appoint A.J. Ward of the County of
Titus and State of Texas our true and lawful attorney for us and in our name
to sell, grant, convey the same absolutely and in fee simple for such price
or sum of money and to such person or persons as he shall think fit and
convenient and also in our name to sell as much and deliver such deeds,
conveyances, bargains and sales for the absolute sale and disposition
thereof or any part thereof, with such claims, covenants and agreements, to
be therein contained as our said attorney shall think fit and expedient,
hereby ratifying and confirming all such deeds, conveyances, bargains or
sales, which shall at any time hereafter be sealed and executed by our said
attorney, touching or concerning the premises.
In witness whereof, we have hereunto set our hands and seals, using scrawls
for seals, this the 3rd day of March A.D. 1852.

Personally appeared before Isaac White, Judge of the County Court of the
County and State aforesaid, Wesley Kelley, Jno. C. McLaughlin, Mary
McLaughlin, Emily McLaughlin, Elijah Kelley Jr., Abner Kelley and Amanda
Kelley, all signed the above and foregoing instrument and acknowledged the
same to be their act and deed.
Given under my hand this the 3rd day of March A.D. 1852.

I, Thomas K. Dossey, Clerk of the Circuit Court and Exofficio Recorder in
and for the County of Pike, do hereby certify that Isaac White is now and
was Judge of the County Court at the time of the above and foregoing
instrument was assigned.
In testimony whereof, I have hereunto set my hand as such clerk and affixed
the seal of said court, this the 8th day of March A.D. 1852.
