Circuit Court October Term 1839.
The State of Arkansas, Plaintiff
vs.
Asa Thompson, Defendant
Indictment for Keeping Faro Bank.
This day came the State of Arkansas by her attorney and the said Asa
Thompson having failed to appear in discharge of his recognizance herein,
and being solemnly called, came not; therefore on motion it is considered by
the Court that the recognizance heretofore entered into by the said Asa
Thompson and Hugh A. Blevins his Security be forfeited; that a scire facias
issue thereon returnable to the next Term of this Court and on the further
motion of the Prosecuting Attorney, it is ordered that an alias capias be
issued against the said Asa Thompson directed to the Sheriff of Pike County
and this cause is continued until the next term of this Court.

This day came the State of Arkansas by Grandison D. Royston prosecuting
attorney, andin his motion it is ordered that an alias capias be issued
herein against the said defendant directed to the Sheriff of Hempstead
County and this cause is continued until the next Term of this Court.
