For value received, I, Thomas Jenkins of the County of Pike, in the State of
Arkansas, do hereby assign, transfer & set over unto Wade Griffin, of the
County of Hempstead, in the State, aforesaid, all my right, title, claim &
demand to a tract of land purchased by me on the 29th day of February, 1836,
as per Receiver's Receipt Number 1928, designated as the East half of the
North West Quarter of Section Eight, in Township Eight, South of Range
Twenty-four West, situate in the District of Lands subject to sale at
Washington, Arkansas and do hereby request that a patent may be issued to
the said Wade Griffin & his heirs or assigns. Witness my hand, the 26th day
of December, 1836.
