McRae of Murfreesboro, George Mansfield Elam (b. 1878) was married to Mattie Henry Dowd and was a long time resident of Pike county with numerous offspring many of whom still live in Pike county, William Hempsted Elam (b.1874) whose first wife was Emma Garrett. , Martha Isabell (b.1870) married to C.E. Simons and John Will Garrett, Vienna (b.1885) the wife of Marion M. Williams, John Henry Elam who establish residence in Pike County in the late 1860's. He is the brother of Arrena Victoria (Hignight) Henderson of Murfreesboro, Owen Brewer Elam (b.1893) who married Nellie Parker and lived in Murfreesboro until his death in 1977, Nancy Coker (b.1854) the daughter of John and Lydia Coker, John Cortez Elam (b.1888)
